In a lifetime, a woman uses between 10 000 and 17 000 disposable pads or tampons. That is not only a significant expense – they all end up in landfill and will not break down for decades.
Alternative - period pants: comfortable to wear, leak-proof, odour-locking and easy to care for. Washable and reusable. Although called "period pants", they also suit other situations where you would use a pad – for example, light bladder leaks.
