EMERALD RIVERS "Better Together" is a limited-edition silk scarf whose design was first painted on canvas by Lithuanian artist Inga Stacinskė. Only the finished painting was digitised and transferred onto fabric, so the print preserves the layered colours, brushstroke character and mood of the original artwork.

Rich blossoms and fresh green leaves stand out against a midnight blue background. At the centre of the painting are two hares surrounded by butterflies. They are not turned towards each other, yet they look in the same direction. This small gesture says more than a direct symbol of closeness: being together can mean not constantly looking at each other, but sharing the same horizon.

The hares sit calmly, their backs almost touching. They do not need to watch each other to feel close – it is enough to know that beside them is someone who sees the same horizon. The butterflies give the scene lightness, and the bright flowers give it life.

The message: being together feels good not because we are the same, but because we can move in the same direction.

The 14 momme silk twill is soft, dense enough and drapes beautifully. The natural sheen of silk brings out the colours of the painting and lets them shift as the scarf moves and the light changes.

The compact 53 × 53 cm scarf can be tied at the neck with a single knot, worn on the head or in the hair, wrapped around the wrist or used as a colour accent on a handbag. It is a practical choice for those who prefer a smaller, easily adaptable scarf.

• Hand wash gently in cool or lukewarm water with a small amount of mild detergent. Do not rub, wring or twist.
• Remove excess water by carefully rolling the scarf in a clean towel. Dry flat in the shade, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
• While still slightly damp, iron lightly on the reverse side at a low temperature. Do not iron the hand-rolled edges.
