EMERALD RIVERS "Butterflies Within" is a limited-edition silk scarf whose design was first painted on canvas by Lithuanian artist Inga Stacinskė. Only the finished painting was digitised and transferred onto fabric, so the print preserves the layered colours, brushstroke character and mood of the original artwork. This version is dominated by rich pinkish-purple and deep berry burgundy shades.

This is the very first EMERALD RIVERS scarf – the design that started the whole story. Against a rich pinkish-purple background, a fox tumbles among blueberries. The motif is alive and slightly unexpected: here the wild animal is not an illustration, it becomes a character in the story.

The fox seems to have briefly forgotten all caution – playful, free and immersed in her own little world of blueberries. The name "Butterflies Within" speaks not of butterflies in the painting, but of an inner flutter: the excitement before a new beginning, curiosity and the wish to follow whatever draws you.

The message: leave room for playfulness and for that pleasant flutter which reminds you that life is moving.

The 14 momme silk twill is soft, dense enough and drapes beautifully. The natural sheen of silk brings out the rich colours of the painting and lets them shift as the scarf moves and the light changes.

The generous 100 × 100 cm format allows the scarf to be tied in many ways: around the neck, draped loosely over the shoulders, worn under a coat or blazer, tied over the head or used as an expressive accent for the whole look.

• Hand wash gently in cool or lukewarm water with a small amount of mild detergent. Do not rub, wring or twist.
• Remove excess water by carefully rolling the scarf in a clean towel. Dry flat in the shade, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
• While still slightly damp, iron lightly on the reverse side at a low temperature. Do not iron the hand-rolled edges.
